I really like Luffy because he taught me what a true friend is. A true friend is a friend who is always there for you and you don't want to see them cry. For example, even when Nami and Robin seemed like fake friends, Luffy showed them love, kindness and friendship and brought them back to his crew. Even when Usopp was fighting and he wasn't in his crew, they found a way to be friends again. Even when Usopp was stubborn, Luffy never gave up on his friends and is always there to help them when they need help. It's really amazing. Also, he showed me how to never give up, to always be fearless even when the odds were stacked against him, when he was fighting opponents much stronger than him at the time, like Big Mom and Kaido, the Navy Admirals and Warlords. He doesn't fear anyone. That's an amazing courage I aspire to in this crazy world we live in. And lastly, his determination is truly beautiful to see. No matter what happens, who he has to fight, or what he has to do, anything he sets his mind to, he is filled with nothing but determination and tenacity to get it. I truly believe that Luffy won't stop until he is the Pirate King. Even in his arc with Ace, he was fighting to save him. He was poisoned, had to fight three Navy Admirals, fought all the way to Impel Down, and even with the odds stacked against him so far, he hasn't given up at all. Luffy is a great character and One Piece is a great piece of work. I'm so happy to be able to watch this masterpiece unfold before my eyes.
